Re: Music Thread

This has to be one of the best complete albums I've ever listened to.

Quite enjoying the stuff above as well. Particularly liked the Kmart collection, Ruby and the Romantics, and neat beats. This reply might be a bit late, though.

Re: Introduce yo self!!

Hi, I'm Jay! I'm currently living in rural Florida (Northwest Germany soon though!) while working on an adventure game about a clown called Dropsy. As much as game dev and pixel art are my 'things' - I have much more fun playing with synthesis and pedals and all kinds of other sound stuff. Not much...

Re: A new thing from Necrosoft and Junkboy

This looks really cool! I actually had the exact same thoughts about Twilight Syndrome. Love love those sprite-based horror games, and from the mockup, this certainly has the style to compete. I'm trying to think of other things it could be before I get myself too hyped up, though. Maybe, a teaching...

Re: The saturn and transparency/3D

This is a hell of a video, great find. I had no idea the Saturn used quads to begin with, but everything about this makes it more impressive that 3D on the saturn works at all. With that much memory at use and such strong 2D capabilities though, I do have to wonder why certain games like Dodonpachi ...

I only had a chance to get a couple, but I seriously loved Magic Planet Snack deluxe. Proper arcade-style game; short, fun, cheap, catchy tunes, and bright candy-colored graphics. Definitely worth the $0.79!

Re: Videogame Music Thread

Haha, no problem whatsoever. I've just seen forums use the youtube tags in three different ways now, with some requiring the whole URL, some requiring only the 'video code' at the end of the URL, and I guess now youtu.be as well. I've never actually played Goldeneye, but some of these tracks are pre...

Re: Making a pseudo 3D world

Great read! As someone obsessed with pseudo-3D and making a sprite scaling game myself, this was pretty insightful for more than a few design practices. Thanks for posting it!

I'd love to see Decinoge talking more about the code as well, but I know that's a bit of a huge longshot there.

Re: that "sprite glitch" bug

Actually, post-september 10, looks like what I was talking about might be an issue after all, since the PSM website specifies that if you deactivate a device after the cutoff date, you'll lose your stuff. Obviously, that's something you don't have any control over. @askplaystation asked me to post a...

Re: that "sprite glitch" bug

Well, I've actually lost access to playing the game entirely, haha. Putting my original card back in, I still can't play the ...

Re: PS Vita Firmware 3.52 renders PSM inaccessible?

I should clarify though, it sounds like users can still download games, but the dev app won't run without an update that doesn't exist [yet]. So there's a chance this isn't an actual issue for anyone except those who want homebrew (but that party does include myself).

PS Vita Firmware 3.52 renders PSM Dev inaccessible?

https://twitter.com/yifanlu/status/613550227639828481 According to the replies here, it looks like the most recent vita firmware update breaks the PSM Dev apps. I wonder if Sony is actually patching it anymore, or just killing it entirely in response to the news of native homebrew on the system. I'm...

That's sick! I didn't even realize there were multiple paths before, to be honest. Sure. It occurred for me with 100% success, so it's pretty easy to replicate.
