Control

Postby Geoff » Mon Dec 14, 2015 6:58 am

Will I be able to play Gunsport with adapted Super Famicom controllers?
Trigger aiming controls mapped to L and R.

Seems like it would be a nice way to play.

I'm pretty sure we'll have button mapping so you should be able to do whatever configuration you want!

Have you considered adapters? You could use real Saturn controllers. The Saturn adapters I have include a really useful mode that let's the d-pad register as analog input. I wish my SNES adapters had that.

I've heard there's some latency involved there! Is there not, particularly?

Not particularly.
I haven't noticed any input lag with my Mayflash SS Controller Adapters.
I've generally had good luck with adapters, but maybe I'm not especially sensitive to it.

The only exception was adapters for the original nes. They had noticeable lag.

Hmm, I should give one a shot, then - they also work on things like the PS3, I think? have you tried?

I haven't tried. I don't have a ps3, nor do my local friends.
I did check online and it should be possible to use with a ps3, but I wouldn't count on it not introducing input lag.
